Monday I tracked 71 points!! You read that right! 71. I get 23 and I typically range between 16 and 30. But Monday was SPECIAL for two reasons: it was both our granddaughter’s third birthday and my husband and my 39th wedding anniversary. We spent the first part of the day celebrating the birthday. There were Krispie Kreme donuts involved in what I’d call the breakfast time frame. Later in the day my husband and I drove to the shore. There was a brownie ice cream sandwich involved in an after lunch treat. If you don’t know what a brownie ice cream sandwich is, just picture the two brownies as the bread and the ice cream as the tuna in between! Then we had a lovely dinner out and the wait staff ‘convinced’ us to get a dessert. If you imagine a croissant sliced in three with a vanilla cream layered in between you’d be on the right track.
Now you can see how I got to 71…
It wasn’t ALL decadent desserts. I didn’t mention the salad for lunch and the 16000 steps we logged walking up and down the boardwalk.
Normally I’d regret having 3 desserts in one day but it was a pretty special day. I’m not sorry and I enjoyed it all.
The cool thing is I didn’t blow my week! I had been pretty on plan Friday through Sunday (which is normally when I’d be overdoing it!) and I’ve been on plan since.
I’ve clocked in a ton of walking all week long.
So although I don’t expect to lose anything this week, I feel like my terrible wonderful day was just that- ONE DAY- of indulgence.
